NFFF Bells Weekend
For the third year, the entire country is invited to come together as one community to honor the memory of those firefighters who died in the line of duty and reassure their loved ones that their firefighter will not be forgotten by participating in the Bells Across America for Fallen Firefighters.

National Fallen Firefighter Memorial Golf Tournaments
In 2004, the first Fallen Firefighters Memorial Golf Tournament was held to raise awareness and to help sustain the programs of the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. Now in its tenth year, the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Golf has grown to include over 30 regional golf tournaments.

Travis Manion Foundation- Honoring the Fallen by Challenging the Living

The 9/11 Heroes Run unites communities internationally with the goal to never forget the sacrifices of the heroes of September 11th and in the wars since: Veteran, First Responder, Civilian, and Military. Join us to raise awareness and HONOR THE FALLEN. Runs are currently scheduled in 44 cities. Large portions of the proceeds raised stay in the host race communities to fund your local first responder, military, and veteran nonprofits who partner with the Travis Manion Foundation - Remaining proceeds support Travis Manion Foundation Challenge Grants, which provide veterans and families of fallen service members by providing camaraderie, transition assistance, grief support, and education through service-based initiatives.

The NPFR Honor Guard will be hosting their 3rd Annual “Remember the Fallen” 5K Memorial Run on September 14, 2013. Inspired by the events that took place on 9-11-01, this will be a day to remember, honor and support the first responders and members of the armed services who protect and serve our community and country every day.


Fire Fighter Challenge
Pay tribute and take on this memorial run in FULL bunker gear (jacket, pants & helmet; boots are not required). For those up for the challenge, awards will be given 3 deep in both categories; Fire Officer and Fire Fighter.

This event is family friendly, open to all skill levels, and welcomes both runners, walkers, athletes and supporters. It is a flat, fast, loop course with displays of fire trucks and military vehicles throughout. There will also be a post-run celebration on-site following the awards ceremony to include performances from a pipes and drums band.


Cruisin’ For Our Heroes
The Fire Museum of Maryland, Baltimore

Run through the cascading streams of water as we honor area police, fire, EMS and military personnel, Saturday, Sept. 14th, 10- 2 pm. Antique fire engine demonstrations and rides, Dalmatians and special police vehicles, antique cars and motorcycles on display. Plus see the Glen L. Martin Airport crash truck deluge the parking lot.

Fire Museum is located one block north of the Baltimore Beltway, Exit 26B, 1301 York Road, Lutherville. Free car and tour bus parking.

12th Annual Ride to Remember Motorcycle Rid
Gloucester County Hero Scholarship Fund, Inc
Gloucester, Massachusetts

The Gloucester County Hero Scholarship Fund, Inc. is organizing the 12th Annual “Ride to Remember” in support of all emergency personnel who have made the ultimate sacrifice during the line of duty. The “Ride to Remember” is in honor of Corporal Steve Levy – “63”.

Registration will be from 7am – 9:45am. The ride will begin promptly at 10am.

This year’s ride will consist of a 63 mile, fully police escorted ride through the back roads of Gloucester, Salem, and Cumberland Counties. The ride will begin at the Washington Twp. High School – Sewell, NJ (Gloucester County).

Registration is $25 for a bike operator and $5 for passengers. Pre-registration is recommended!
The ride will take approximately two (2) hours and will end at the Washington Lake Park Complex – Sewell, NJ. Free refreshments will be available to all ride participants along with other vendors and entertainment.


September 21st

Springfield Police Department Ride to Remember
Springfield, MA

7:00 AM - Springfield, MA The ride will leave the corner of Main Street and Boland Way on bicycles, with a motorcycle escort, and travel along RT 20 & RT 9, a total of 96 miles to the finish. The course will follow the Boston Marathon Route, and two MIT Police Officers will ride to honor Officer Sean Collier, the MIT Officer killed during the Boston Marathon Bombing this past April.

5:30 PM - Boston, MA (State Capital Grounds) a memorial service will be held honoring Officers Ambrose and Torres, adding their names to the Law Enforcement Memorial.

Donations are welcome. Donations to the Springfield Police Department's Ride to Remember Bicyle event are fully tax deductible and proceeds will be donated to the Massachusetts Law Enforcement Memorial Foundation( MLEMF).


September 23rd to September 26th

NEMSMS Memorial Bike Ride

The mission of the National EMS Memorial Service is to honor and remember those men and women of America's Emergency Medical Services who have given their lives in the line of duty, and to recognize the sacrifice they have made in service to their communities and their fellow man.

The 1st annual West Coast-National EMS Memorial Bike Ride will take place beginning in Reno, NV on September 23, 2013 and ending in Sacramento, CA on September 26, 2013 with a closing ceremony at the end of the ride.

Route is as follows:
9/23: Reno, NV to Stateline, NV (on Lake Tahoe)–60 miles
9/24: Stateline-Stateline, NV (Ride around Lake Tahoe-75 miles
9/25: Stateline, NV to Placerville, CA–68 miles
9/26: Placerville, CA to Sacramento, CA–58 miles

Not often in life are we given the chance to be heroic, please join us as we run in honor of the fallen First Responders who have given all, for us. All proceeds from this event will go for the creation and maintenance of the First Responders Memorial to be erected at Edward Hines Drive and Haggerty Rd.

First Responder divisions will have the opportunity to create their own teams for camaraderie and competition. Individuals will be invited to sign-up on their own to increase the crowd support of this event.

NLEOMF Ride and Run to Remember

The Law Enforcement Ride & Run to Remember is a fun, community-oriented athletic event designed to honor the contribution and sacrifice law enforcement officers make every day and encourage community support for the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund. The race will start and finish at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, DC.

The ride includes fully-supported 55- and 30-mile bike rides taking place on Saturday October 12th. The ride will start and finish at the National Harbor in Oxon Hill, MD. In addition to the $50 registration fee, each participant is required to raise at least $72 in honor of the law enforcement officer lives lost on September 11, 2001, the deadliest day in law enforcement history.
